Vita
Joris Graff ist Postdoktorand am Institut für Philosophie und Politikwissenschaft. Seine Forschung konzentriert sich auf verschiedene Fragen der Philosophie der künstlichen Intelligenz. Dazu gehören ethische Fragen zu den Risiken der Einbindung von KI-Systemen in unsere Entscheidungsprozesse sowie eher theoretische Fragen zu den Fähigkeiten (bzw. deren Fehlen) von KI-Systemen, moralische oder allgemeinere normative Entscheidungen zu treffen. Zu Graffs Forschungsinteressen zählen darüber hinaus die Metaethik und Technologieethik, die Handlungstheorie, Common- Sense Reasoning und die Philosophie Ludwig Wittgensteins.
Bevor er an die TU Dortmund kam, studierte Graff Philosophie in Groningen und Artificial Intelligence in Utrecht, wo er auch seine Promotion abschloss. Seine Dissertation mit dem Titel „Decision-makers without Reasons: On the Moral and Normative Capacities of Artificial Agents“ entstand unter der Betreuung von Prof. Dr. ir. Jan Broersen.
