Herzliche Einladung zum Hochschulöffentlichen Vortrag „Unteaching Intolerance?“

Datum:           08. April 2025

Uhrzeit:          18:15-19.45 Uhr

Ort:                  Internationales Begegnungszentrum (IBZ) auf dem Campus Nord

                         Emil-Figge-Straße 59, 44227 Dortmund

Abstract:

Scholars have considered the issue of how intolerance might be converted to tolerance - how it can be “unlearned” - although most results are discouraging. In his presentation, James L. Gibson will review the various mechanisms by which intolerance might be unlearned. He will pay particular attention to the role of universities in this process, and to the many controversies that currently threaten to undermine a culture of tolerance within the academy.
