Vita
Peter Königs is Professor of Practical Philosophy with a focus on challenges of new technologies at TU Dortmund University. His research revolves around topics in the ethics of technology, especially related to Big Data and Artificial Intelligence. Beyond the ethics of technology, he also has research interests in political philosophy and moral psychology.
Peter Königs studied philosophy and politics in Tübingen, Cambridge and Paris (Sciences Po). He received his PhD from Tübingen University and holds degrees from Tübingen University (Magister) and Cambridge University (MPhil). Prior to joining TU Dortmund, he was an Assistant Professor at the Ethics Institut of Utrecht University and held postdoc positions at the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management, RWTH Aachen University and KIT Karlsruhe.
Seit 2023: Juniorprofessor für Praktische Philosophie mit Schwerpunkt Herausforderungen neuer Technologien am Institut für Philosophie und Politikwissenschaft der TU Dortmund.
