Vita

Alfredo Vernazzani ist Research Fellow am Hanse-Wissenschaftskolleg und wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter an der TU Dortmund. Er promovierte an der Ruhr-Universität Bochum, wo er später als Managing Director des MSc-Studiengangs Cognitive Science tätig war und eine Vertretungsprofessur an der Ruhr-Universität Bochum sowie an der Universität Witten-Herdecke innehatte. Er hatte Gastaufenthalte an den Universitäten Cambridge, Harvard und Rutgers sowie am Center for Philosophical Psychology der Universität Antwerpen. Seine Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen in der Philosophie des Geistes und der Kognitionswissenschaft, mit besonderem Fokus auf Wahrnehmung, die Erkenntnistheorie des Verstehens in Kunst und Wissenschaft sowie auf Ästhetik.
